Peace starts on your plate is the message from Loving Hut Oslo. This vegan food chain has grown international, and despite they are most popular in Asia, they have branches in most continents (there is still none in Africa to my knowledge). I visited one of them when I traveled in Mongolia a few years back, and now Loving Hut re-opened a branch in Oslo.
Most of the food in Loving Hut is inspired from Asia, but the menus are locally adapted. In Oslo, they serve a selection of vegan, organic, raw and non-GMO food. The menu contains some Asian noodle dishes and spring rolls, burgers, salads, raw lasagne, vegan “beef” and other types of mock meat.
One of my favorites is the fresh summer rolls with spicy satay sauce, and I love their spicy burger.
It is a simple restaurant with few tables, and it´s not a place to hang out for hours. They also sell some few vegan food items. I normally stop by here just to grab a bite on the go, or when I want a real vegan treat – despite the lack of atmosphere, the food is so good.
Check out their web site to see their menu and to find the location on a map.

Because of the tasty food, Loving Hut is one of my spots in the Spotted By Locals city guide for Oslo.
I´m an Oslo based web publisher with passion for communication, travel and a green lifestyle. When I travel, I prefer to go slow, sustainable, and “live like a local”. Why slow? It is about challenging the cult of speed, and to enjoy the small things in life and to live in the present.
