Travel Photo – Mongolia in a nutshell

Mongolia is country number one on the list of the least densely populated countries in the world. The Gobi desert is gold and dead for miles and miles, I know because I´ve driven a car from the western side all the way to Ulaanbaatar – and we were driving for hours without any sign of life. When there was sign of life, most often it was goats, camels – or horses, the “Mongolian gold”. There are actually 13 horses per human in Mongolia! This week´s travel photo shows Mongolia in a nutshell – a ger (the typical housing for the nomads) and lots of horses!

Have you ever been to the Gobi desert? How did you like it?
